The Federal Association of Energy and Climate Protection Agencies in Germany (eaD) is the joint lobbying body for regional and municipal energy and climate protection agencies in Germany.

The eaD promotes cooperation and the exchange of ideas among its members and bundles their interests at federal level vis-à-vis political institutions, other associations and in the media.

Currently, 37 agencies are members of the eaD.

Membership of the eaD is also open to other organisations that are active in promoting energy efficiency and support the basic ideas of the energy and climate protection agencies.

The eaD is consortium partner in the Germany-wide project "Energy Saving Check". The project tackles energy poverty in low-income households by offering energy consultation. The active consultants are themeselfes formerly longterm unemloyed people. The project runs for over ten years in cooperation with the German Caritas.

The eaD is especially interested in project cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and professional networking in the context of the project "Energy Saving Checks". Energy suppliers as well as energy agencies, social wellfare organisations and energy associations are particularly interesting players.
